H&G DRIVING SOLUTIONS- is committed to providing their workforce for the benefit of the individuals and clients alike ongoing variety, training, and rewards, this has been they’re quality statement since the companies birth in July 2003 therefore with the introduction of the driver Certificate Of Professional Competence from September 2009 we were provided with the ideal opportunity to offer our clients and drivers a solution to obtaining the qualification through using our services. H&G has launched an initiative whereby drivers employed by H&G will be able to obtain either their NVQ level 2 and or their driver CPC qualification simply by working with H&G and their clients for FREE and in line with the new European directive.
By partnering with NVQ Training provider M2 Training LTD. H&G has been able to launch its initiative aimed at promoting a more professional image on behalf of its clients and drivers who work with and are employed by the agency. Clients will enjoy an improved quality of service and supply without increasing their training and development costs.
Legally compliant and JAUPT approved (Joint Approvals Unit for Periodic Training). Every driver working for or with H&G will enjoy the opportunity of FREE Training towards obtaining both an NVQ and the necessary DCPC Qualification of the future.
Each NVQ will be client bespoke and as H&G only partners blue chip clients who are committed to and focused on Safety first, Best practice and legal compliance all drivers will have the opportunity to obtain the training and increase their knowledge and expertise in a safe and supported environment.
At H&G we believe that by investing in our workforce’s personal and professional development which will naturally improve the customer service levels expected by our clients in an ever increasingly competitive market. The training should also help to improve retention and quality of supply, fuel utilization and eco friendly driving, whilst promoting heightened health and safety standards and the reduction of accidental damage associated with working within the logistics and distribution industry of today.
H&G aims to provide a better standard of qualified commercial driver committed to improving road safety. We believe that the DCPC Qualification alone will promote a more positive image of the freight and logistics industry and in turn attract more professionals to the industry keen to improve their knowledge and skills on an ongoing basis. A driver who obtains their NVQ or begins their DCPC with H&G will immediately enjoy the competitive edge in an increasingly competitive market that demands higher standards of quality and professionalism especially if the driver long term wishes to secure themselves a permanent position with a financially secure blue chip employer in the future.
By 2014 all professional LGV C+E drivers will be required to have obtained 35 hours of periodic training and their DCPC Qualification card in compliance with the European directive 2003/59/EC and 7 hours of periodic training every year thereafter. Although 2014 seems along way off if the 500,000 active LGV C+E drivers employed currently in the UK’s freight transport and logistics industry today are to become qualified within the deadline nearly 3 million man days of training will have to be delivered if all of these drivers are to become qualified within the time line suggested. Therefore Driver DCPC training should not be postponed till last minute because if a driver does not have a valid Driver CPC Qualification card after the 2014 deadline it will become unlawful to drive a commercial vehicle placing greater emphasis on employers to plan 7 hours of periodic training per driver per year H&G has committed and planned already to do this on behalf of their clients and drivers alike.
Join H&G and you will enjoy ongoing training and support towards obtaining your DCPC Qualification without the initial financial burden to do so.
